Here’s How to Make Simple Lavender Coffee Syrup
Lately, I have seen so many delicious Lavender coffee/latte’s at coffee shops, particularly this spring. Which has made me really want to attempt making one at home, creating my own original recipe on how to make simple Lavender coffee syrup. Therefore, here we are with a start to creating the main ingredient: Lavender Syrup
You will be surprised with how easy it is to make this syrup! In under 15min you can have a bottle of this deliciousness sitting in your refrigerator. So lets get started!
What You Will Need to Get Started
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 3 tbsp. Organic Food Grade Lavender Buds
- 3/4 cup of distilled water
- mesh strainer
- pourable pyrex measuring cup or funnel
- glass bottle to keep lavender coffee syrup in
- sauce pan
- spoon
- measuring cups
- measuring spoons
These are the basic essentials you’ll need to get started, which you’ll most likely find these throughout your kitchen.
How to Make Simple Lavender Coffee Syrup
- In sauce pan, combine all the ingredients, and simmer until sugar is completely dissolved.
- Once sugar is dissolved, cover and let the syrup steep for about 10 minutes. I personally didn’t want my syrup to be too strong, so I didn’t let it set long.
- After syrup has steeped, pour and strain mixture into a bowl with mesh strainer.
- Finally, once the lavender buds have been strained, you can now pour the syrup into your glass bottle. You can use a funnel or a pitcher style pyrex measuring cup like I did, to make it easier.
