Why You’ll Love These Delicious Lactation Bites

Any breastfeeding mom knows that intense hunger feeling when they’re nursing a baby. It comes out of nowhere, and immediately you need a snack. These lactation bites are the perfect snack to have in the fridge or freezer for those snackish moments when you need a quick yummy bite of protein.

The great thing about these, is that they contain Brewers Yeast and ground flaxseed, aiding to the boost in milk supply.

Also, these lactation bites would be the perfect snack to add to a meal your taking to a new mom.

What You Will Need

  • 2 cups organic rolled oats
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Brewers Yeast
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Easy Tips for How to Make Lactation Bites

  • Using a cookie scoop to form the balls, makes the job so much quicker.
  • Refrigerate after making these. You can also freeze these for postpartum. I also have a protein ball recipe that is just as delicious!
  • Use a good quality Brewers Yeast I like this one.
  • You can definitely mix these by hand, but a hand mixer or stand mixer makes it go a lot quicker!

Step 1: Measure out all of your ingredients and combine into a bowl.

Step 2: Mix all of the ingredients together, and form into balls. Refrigerate or freeze for later.
