Tips for Making the Sausage Tortellini Soup

Here are a few tips that might help in making the sausage tortellini soup:

  • Pay close attention to the tortellini once you’ve added it to the pot. You don’t want mushy overcooked tortellini. It will fall apart and make your soup dish a bit unappetizing.
  • Using Italian sausage for the meat, is my favorite way to make the soup. However, I’ve also used whatever sausage I had on hand, and just added italian seasoning to it, it turned out delicious still.
  • Don’t worry if it looks like you’ve added too much spinach. Spinach cooks down beautifully, it will be hardly noticeable once its cooked.

Ingredients You Will Need

cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb Italian Sausage
  • 2 cans Diced Tomatoes
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
  • 8oz Cream Cheese
  • 36oz bag of Frozen Cheese Tortellini
  • 3 cups of Spinach
